Celebrate with NOVA Center for the Performing
Arts as it marks its first successful season on Saturday, May 10
from 2-5pm. Last year, Venture Theatre and Rimrock Opera formed
NOVA “to enhance the performing arts culture of the Billings
region through education, development, and performance.” Now,
NOVA will be celebrating its first full season of producing
theatre, opera, improv comedy, and educating Billings’ youth in
performing techniques.
Enjoy desserts and beverages while
being entertained with performances by the NOVA Youth
Conservatory, a sneak preview of Little Shop of Horrors, and
information about the upcoming 2014-2015 season, including
excerpts from some of next season’s shows.
For the
second year in a row, guests may bid on Extraordinary Art from
Ordinary Objects. Old musical instruments and cases have been
transformed by local artists into fine decorative art objects.
Winners will be decided by silent auction. An elegant pearl
necklace, valued at $700, will be raffled off as well.
Admission for the open house is free to the public. Come and
experience NOVA’s artistic culture as we celebrate and look
forward to an exciting new season.
